Planned Obsolescence

One of the announcements yesterday at WWDCSpecifically not supporting the iPad under iOS6 when the specs are comparable to, if not better than, supported devices! reminded me of this great video by Vitsœ about manufacturers attempting to force upgrades by prematurely retiring their products.

Planned obsolescence is the design and manufacture of products that are deliberately intended to have a limited useful life. The result is that you are forced into an everlasting cycle of replacing, repurchasing and repeating. Vitsœ stands against this world.
